Sophomore Drew Leonard of the baseball team led the Majors to a convincing victory over visiting Trinity University on Saturday afternoon by hitting his first collegiate home run, which happened to be a grand slam. Leonard would finish the week going 4-for-11 from the plate with one home run and five RBIs while scoring three runs.

Senior Jennifer McKinley of the softball team added to an already stellar career becoming the first player in Millsaps history to hit three home runs in one game doing so against No. 10 ranked Mississippi College on the road Friday afternoon. McKinley went 3-for-3 in the game, all home runs, while recording five RBIs and one walk. Her hot bat continued on Saturday when she hit went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks against the Lady Choctaws. McKinley finished the week .500 (6-for-12) with four home runs, six RBIs, six runs scored and four walks. She also recorded a slugging percentage of 1.500 in four games over the weekend.
