MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - After a career-high, 17-tackle performance in a season-ending win over Birmingham-Southern, junior linebacker
Will Hawkins picked up his second honor of the week after being named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week.
Hawkins finished the season with 102 tackles to tie for the conference lead, recording 10 or more tackles in five of his last six games. He becomes the first player since All-American Matt O'Bryant in 2003 to record 100 tackles in a season.
The weekly award from D3football.com is his second this season and 7th total by a Millsaps player this year, including six on defense alone.
Millsaps finished the year at 7-3 overall and a share of a fourth straight SCAC title.
