After being fouled on a 3-point attempt, Varnado converted all three from the foul line to even the score at 5-5.
A 3-pointer from David Allison gave the Petrels a one-point cushion but the Majors responded by scoring the next six points to take a 13-8 lead.

Neither team was able to gain momentum in the closing minutes of the half as Millsaps maintained a slim 29-26 halftime lead.
Opening the second half, the Majors jumped out to their largest lead 38-29 after a layup by

The Petrels cut the deficit to two with a 3-pointer from Wade Weldon midway through the final stanza and eventually evened the score 44-44 with a pair of free throws by David Allison.
The teams continued to battle down the stretch and Oglethorpe took a 58-57 lead behind another Weldon 3-point basket.
Varnado got the Majors back in front with an old-fashioned 3-point play as Millsaps closed the game on a 9-4 run to seal the conference victory, 66-62.
