JACKSON- The Millsaps Majors stormed back from 3-0 down to double up Rhodes 6-3 on Saturday afternoon in Jackson.

Rhodes got out of the gate quickly, scoring three times with in the first ten minutes of the game. The Majors did not lose their composure, knowing there was a lot of game left to be played.Adam Shubert scored with just over a minute left in the quarter to make it 3-1 in favor of Rhodes and give the Majors much needed momentum.

Brandon Allison and Hunter Stevison would score in the second quarter as the Majors started to turn the tide in their favor. Millsaps scored twice within two minutes to knot the game at 3.

The Majors grabbed their first lead of the game, taking advantage of a man-up situation as Stevison scored his second of the game to make it 4-3. The Majors were 2-12 with the man advantage, but were able to use the situations to control their offensive sets.Scott Budd beat the goalie and the buzzer to end the third period, scoring with less than a second remaining to give the Majors a two-goal lead.

The fourth quarter was a chippy one to say the least. Budd would score with the advantage again to ice the game and give the Majors a three-goal lead. The game would be delayed with just under a minute remaining as the Lynx frustration, which had been mounting all game, escalated into a donnybrook between the two teams. Three ejections later, the game would continue.

Chris Hood was sensational in goal for the Majors. After allowing the three early goals, he sticked aside the next 18 shots on goal and finished with an impressive 19 saves to get his fourth win of the season.

The Majors picked up their first conference win and sit at 4-7 overall. They will host Oglethorpe next Friday at 3pm.
