IRVING, Texas - The Millsaps Majors Men's Soccer Team traveled to Irving to take on the University of Dallas in a non-conference bout on Saturday afternoon. The Majors took 24 shots, but could not find a go ahead goal, eventually falling in overtime 1-0 to the Crusaders.
Millsaps (1-3-1) got nine shots off in the first half as they looked to take the early lead on the road, but could not find the back of the net.
The Majors were even more aggressive in the second half, sending 14 shots off, but again could not find a goal as the two teams remained tied going into overtime. Dallas (3-1) took 12 shots in regulation, but senior Stephen Andrieu was terriifc in goal with nine saves.
However, Dallas scored the game winner in the 94th minute as Cristian Govea gave the Crusaders the victory.
Junior Hayden Baker led the way offensively with six shots while senior Taylor Harrison and sophomore Chase Ming added four shots.
Millsaps will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they take on the Centenary Gents in Shreveport at 4 p.m.
