LaGRANGE-The Majors stormed back from 3-0 down, shutting out the LaGrange Panthers 5-0 in the second half in an 8-4 non conference win.

The Majors found themselves down 3-0 within the first six minutes of the game, but never lost their composure. Sarah Hawthorne scored two goals less than a minute apart in the first half to cut the lead to 3-2 for LaGrange. A big play for the Majors was made by Katie Iskra, who scored with just 36 seconds remaining in the first half. That goal gave the momentum to Millsaps and sent them into the break down 4-3.

Whitney Smith wasted little time getting the Majors the lead in the second half. She scored twice just over a minute apart in the 36th and 37th minute to give the Majors the lead for good. Iskra and Hawthorne would each score again as the Majors padded their lead. Just 13 seconds after Hawthorne's goal, Alex Morphew lit the lamp and made it an 8-4 ball game. That was the final and the Majors moved to 2-1.

The Majors' defense really stepped up in the second half, allowing just three shots on goal. Madelyn Walker (pictured) stopped all three and had four saves on the game. The Majors took advantage on getting possession early, winning 9 of 13 draws and all 5 in the second half.

The Majors will look to use this momentum and two game winning streak as they head to Young Harris to take on the Mountain Lions. Face off is set for 10am.
