YOUNG HARRIS,GA--The Millsaps Majors made it two wins in two days as they tripled up the d2 Young Harris Mountain Lions 21-7.

Whitney Smith had a phenomenal game, racking up seven goals and three helpers for 10 total points. This was a total team effort as the Majors got three or more goals from five different players in the rout.

Again, the Majors found themselves down early as Young Harris jumped on top 3-1 about seven minutes into the contest. The Majors responded with a six-goal unanswered run to grab a 7-3 lead. Five different Majors scored during that run including a pair from Megan McCullough. Young Harris would cut it to 7-5 before two tallies by the Majors in the latter stages of the half sent them into the intermission up 9-5.

The Majors would break this game wide open with a nine-goal run over 14 minutes in the second half. Smith had five of her seven goals during that streak. The Majors defense was sterling in this game as well. The Majors forced 15 turnovers and allowed just 16 shots on goal. That made life easy for Madelyn Walker. She made seven saves and picked up her third straight win.

The Majors at 3-1 have matched their win total from last year. They head to Florida for their spring break trip. They will face a pair of schools from Virginia in Lynchburg and Bridgewater in Clermont, Florida. Their next game is Wednesday against Lynchburg.
