SEWANEE, TN- The Millsaps Majors women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-5 decision to the Sewanee Tigers on Saturday at Puett Field in Sewanee.   

Jamie Blair Page scored three times and Theresa Woehnker scored twice to pace the Majors. Woehnker and Page scored back-to-back goals 90 seconds apart to answer a three goal run by Sewanee. Page's goal came on the man advantage to cut the Tiger lead to 5-3. 

Sewanee would score the final eight goals of the half to break the game open and lead 13-3 at the half. Madelyn Walker made eight saves in the first half and 15 for the game. 

The second half saw the two teams trade five goals with Page and Woehnker each scoring again for Millsaps. Woehnker's also came with the man advantage as Millsaps scored twice in five man-up opportunities. 

The Majors now sit at 3-7 overall and 2-4 in conference and travel to Berry next Saturday for the regular season finale. Opening draw is set for 1pm eastern.
