Atlanta- The Millsaps Majors women's tennis team battled past the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels on Saturday, winning the conference match 5-4. 

The Majors took the early lead in this nip-and-tuck match, taking two of three in doubles. Callie Creekmoore and Deena Li Kam Wa remained undefeated in doubles on the year, rolling on court one 8-0.  Anna Brahce and Laura Kebert took care of business on court two winning in dominant fashion with an 8-1 win. 

Turning to singles, Li Kam Wa continued her stellar play, remaining undefeated on the season, winning in straight sets at 6-2, 6-2. Creekmore was equally dominant, continuing her momentum coming off of player of the week status, winning 6-1, 6-0. After dropping hard fought matches on courts 4, 5 and a three-setter on six, the match was knotted at 4-4. Laura Kebert would clinch the match for the Majors, grinding out a 7-5 second set win to clinch the fifth point and the match. 

The win moves the Majors to 9-4 on the year and 2-2 in conference.
