Millsaps College Athletics

Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Kasey Laird-Dennies showcased her athletic prowess on the volleyball court and in field events. After starting her collegiate career at UL-Lafayette, she transferred to Millsaps College where she quickly made a name for herself. In 2012, she was honored as the SAA Player of the Year, All-SAA First Team and made the All-SAA Tournament Team. She became a member of the 1,000-1,000 club with 1,316 kills and 1,541 digs.

In addition to her volleyball achievements, Laird-Dennies also excelled in track and field. She was a dominant force in the discus event, capturing the SCAC championship titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Her 2011 discus throw of 41.87 meters remains the program record. Beyond the discus, she also excelled in the shot put, winning the SAA championship in 2013. She holds the shot put record at 12.86 meters as well.
