At age 14, was the youngest person to win the Mississippi Women's Amateur Championship
Holds the record for the most total and consecutive wins of the Mississippi Women's Amateur Championship with eight
Turned pro and joined the LPGA Tour in 1962 where she was named LPGA Rookie of the Year
Won the U.S. Women's Open in 1963 and won the LPGA Championship in 1964 and 1973
Inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 1988
Presented with the Millsaps Alumna of the Year Award in 2006
