Freshman Dia Fortenberry led the Majors to a successful 2-1 first week. She averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. Fortenberry made her collegiate debut by posting a near double double with 17 points and nine rebounds against Belhaven. She then had 12 points and seven rebounds against Centenary and finished the week with 21 points on 6-10 shooting and 9-11 from the free throw line against Austin College.
