On the field, Abrams has reached base safely in 42 of 46 games while ranking third on the team amongst regular starters in doubles (17) and RBIs (46), fifth in batting average (.318) and sixth in hits (54). A 2007 selection to the All-SCAC Tournament Team, Abrams has 13 multi-hit and multi-RBI games and has only struck out seven times in 170 at-bats (39th toughest batter to strikeout in Division III).
The All-District VI team is comprised of student-athletes from schools in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. As a first team selection this year, Abrams and Pacillo will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America honors which will be announced on Tuesday, May 29.
