SUWANEE, Ga. -- Aaron Williams of Millsaps College, a 6-0, 195-pound sophomore right-hander from Covington, La., has been selected the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, February 9 through Sunday, February 15.
Williams had a stellar week on the hill for Millsaps, posting a 1-0 record with a 0.75 ERA in 12 innings of work. Williams tossed the fourth complete game of his career to earn a 2-1 Sunday win against Hendrix, going all 10 innings and scattering eight strikeouts, four hits and just one unearned run off a passed ball to pick up his first win in 2009.
The weekly award is the third of his young Millsaps career, being named the Pitcher of the Week in Weeks 1 and 2 of last season.
On the year, Williams is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in three appearances and 16.1 total innings pitched. He's struck out 12 batters against five walks and is holding opponents to a .254 batting average.
Millsaps continues a 7-game road stretch on Saturday at Southwestern University.
