Owen is the second Major to be named SCAC Player of the Week this season, with teammate Will Hawkins being named twice back in Weeks 1 and 3. The weekly award for Owen is the first for him this season and the fourth of his stellar Millsaps career.

He also grabbed 16 total bases with a 1.231 slugging percentage and .706 on-base percentage as Millsaps went 3-1 to improve to 22-3 overall.
In addition, Owen's three doubles during the week gave him 52 for his career, moving him into third all-time at Millsaps -- just four behind a new school record.
On the year, Owen leads the team with a .442 average to go along with eight home runs.
