JACKSON, Miss. – TCU's Brandon Lechtenberg has joined Head Coach Aaron Pelch's staff as defensive coordinator for the 2011 season.

Lechtenberg comes to Millsaps after three years at Texas Christian University. He served as the Horned Frogs' defensive graduate assistant while he worked toward his Masters in Education Administration. During his tenure in Fort Worth the TCU led the nation in total defense three years running, 2008-10. In 2010 the Horned Frog defense led the nation in scoring defense and pass defense. TCU won two Mountain West Championships in 2009 and 2010 and won the 2011 Rose Bowl.

From 2007-2008 Lechtenberg was linebacker coach and defensive coordinator for Central City High School in Central City, Nebraska. Before that, he served from 2005-2007 at North Star High School in Lincoln, Nebraska as defensive line coach and special teams coordinator.

A native of Butte, Nebraska, Lechtenberg graduated in 2005 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in secondary education.
