SUWANEE, Ga. – Ryan Zemke, a senior outfielder from Baton Rouge, La., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 26 through Sunday, April 1. Zemke was huge for the Major offense as he helped lead them to a two game sweep over the Centre Colonels.
He led the Major offense, going 6-13 (.462) at the plate with one double, one triple, one home run, and six RBI in three games. He recorded a .923 slugging percentage, and was walked one times for an on-base average of .500.
Against Centre, Zemke was 4-9 (.444) with four RBI and a homerun as Millsaps improved to 4-1 in the SCAC. Zemke is currently second on the team with a .372 average with six doubles, four triples, one home run, and a team leading 27 RBIs.
Zemke and the Majors are back in action on Wednesday evening as they welcome in the Belhaven Blazers in fourth game of the Maloney Series.
