ATLANTA, GA- Millsaps senior attacker Hunter Stevison made Millsaps lacrosse history on Tuesday, becomming the first player named to the first or second team all-conference.
Stevison was named to the All-SAA second team after a record-setting season. The senior became the first player to reach 100 career points this season after a 41 goal 17 assist campaign this past year.
His 41 goals were third in the conference and his 12 man-up goals were the tops in the conference. Stevison's 41 goals were a career best, as were his 17 assists, which were also top-10 in the SAA.
Stevison also set career highs in ground balls (32), caused turnovers (11), shots (118) and shots on goal (77).
Fellow attacker Simon Sherman was named an honorable mention all-conference. Sherman was second on the team with 36 goals and third on the Majors with 50 points, both marks were top-10 in the conference. The sophomore doubled his goal production from his freshman year and set career highs in seven different categories.
