JACKSON, MS – The Millsaps Women's Lacrosse team is proud to announce that Sarah Hawthorne and Theresa Woehnker have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll.

As the governing body for awards in women's lacrosse, the IWLCA honors over 800 student-athletes from 269 different institutions ranging from all divisions in the NCAA.

To be considered for the academic honor roll, the IWLCA requires that student athletes must be upper classmen and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average.

In addition to being on the Academic Honor Roll, Sarah and Theresa both earned All SAA honors for their work on the field last season.  Head Women's Lacrosse Coach, Molly Macdonald, is fortunate to have team leaders that excel in the classroom and on the field of play.

"Both Sarah and Theresa are strong players for us," Macdonald said.  "They bring valuable leadership to our team, we're happy to have such great student-athletes leading us."

The Women's Lacrosse team will have a Fall Ball Tournament at Rhodes College on Oct. 4th before beginning the regular season, which starts Feb. 20th.
