JACKSON, MISS. -- Millsaps Men's Lacrosse wins their first game of the season at home against Fontbonne, 19-7.
Millsaps came out the gates hot, scoring six straight goals early in the game. Fontbonne responded to score one goal in the first quarter, but the Majors shut them out for the rest of the half to go into halftime up 10-1.
In the second half, the Majors relented a bit but still dominated the game, outscoring Fontbonne 9-6 in route to an easy 19-7 win.
Sam Snyder and
Garrett Perez both had four goals, Snyder led all Majors with three assists as well. Perez had a game high nine groundballs.
Zachary Bazemore,
Cameron Director,
Brooks McCormick,
Parks Douglass, and
Colton Bibb all got on the board with goals for the Majors.
Spencer Davis, Perez and
George Seiler all registered assists as well.
