CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs fought to the last point, but ended their seasons in the SAA Tournament Quarterfinals at the Champions Club Tennis Complex on Friday. The No. 5 seed women fell to No. 4 seed Berry, 5-2, while the No. 7 seed men were slowed by No. 2 seed BSC, 5-0.
Women's Recap vs. Berry: L, 5-2
The Majors jumped out to a 2-1 lead through doubles. Sophomore
Mary Dabadie and junior
Madison Williams secured an 8-6 victory on Court 2. Senior
Camille Fremaux and freshman
Alexis Oliver were also victorious by an 8-5 count on Court 3.
Berry turned the match around with singles wins on Courts 2 through 5. Every set on Courts 3, 4 and 5 was decided at 6-4 or 6-3.
Fremaux claimed the first set of her match, 7-5 and was tied 4-4 in the second on Court 1. Sophomore
Segen Lister was also in the middle of a tough match on Court 6 when the match was clinched. She narrowly lost the first set, 6-4 and was trailing 4-3 in the second.

BSC may have won Friday's match 5-0, but several courts featured battles that were closer than the score would indicate.
Doubles saw two matchups head to tiebreakers. Junior
Jakub Bobinski and sophomore
Carson Chassaignac narrowly fell 7-5 on Court 1, while freshman
Sam Tuli and senior
Trevor Vaccaro just lost 7-3 in the breaker on Court 2. Senior
Hamilton Jackson and graduate
John Kimball were bested, 8-3 on Court 3 as they tried to make a comeback.
The Panthers clinched the match on Courts 4 and 5 in singles. However, the remaining courts featured terrific action. Kimball lost set one, 6-4 on Court 1 and Chassaignac was out front 4-3 looking to force a third set on Court 2. Also looking to force decisive third sets was Vaccaro (tied 3-3) on Court 3 and Tuli (ahead 2-0) on Court 6 when the match finished.
