JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs finished their regular season with a pair of challenging matches, hosting Oglethorpe and Berry over the weekend. 
 
The women opened the weekend with a 5-1 victory over Oglethorpe, while the men's team was defeated 5-2 on Saturday. On Sunday, the women's had a tough match, falling 5-2 against Berry, while the men were bested, 5-1 at the Coach Montgomery Courts.

The women's tennis team will now prepare for the SAA Tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn., against No. 4 Centre, beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday at 1 p.m.


Women's Recap vs. Oglethorpe, 5-1, W

On Saturday with a 5-1 victory against Oglethorpe, senior Madison Williams and graduate Camille Fremaux would better their opponents in an 8-1 win on Court Two doubles. 
 
Juniors Segen Lister and Mackenzie Vordick would come together on Court Three doubles and downed their opponents with an 8-2 winner. 
 
The Majors would continue their superiority with three additional singles triumphs. Fremaux would defeat her contender with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 decision on Court One. 
 
Williams would beat her opponent 6-1, 6-2 on Court Two, while senior Kiana Everhart took a 6-3, 6-0 victory on Court Three.

Oglethorpe would take over with a 2-1 lead in doubles on Saturday as sophomores Carson Chassaignac and Sam Tuli handled their match well with an 8-4 victory on Court One. 
 
Senior Jakub Bobinski and sophomore Anderson Dulaney gave their best on Court Two in doubles, but their opponents would come out on top with an 8-6 conclusion. 
 
Chassaignac would continue to respond in singles with a 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 win against his contender on Court One.

After a successful win against Oglethorpe on Saturday, the Millsaps women's tennis team would fall to Berry 5-2 on Sunday. 
 
Williams and Fremaux continued their success on Court Two doubles, taking an 8-4 win against the Vikings. 
 
In singles, Fremaux would take down her opponent, 6-2, 6-2 on Court One, while Williams would fight hard in a 5-7, 7-5, 3-6 match on Court Two.

Men's Recap vs. Berry, 5-1, L

The men's tennis team's regular season ended after a challenging battle against Berry, falling 5-1. Chassaignac and Tuli would take Court One in doubles, 8-4 while Bobinski and Dulaney were bested in an 8-7 (9-7) tiebreaker on Court Two. 
 
In singles, Chassaignac's opponent barely escaped with a 6-4, 6-4 win on Court One. Dulaney battled into a 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 breaker but his foe would take the last set on Court Two. 
 
Bobinski and his contender were competitive on Court Three with a 5-7 opening set, but the Vikings would win be taking 6-1 decision in set two.
