DANVILLE, Ky. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs fought hard in a dual match against Centre but were downed 8-1 and 6-3, respectively at the Centre Outdoor Courts on Saturday.
Millsaps returns to the tennis courts on Sunday to face the No.16 Sewanee men's team and No. 14 Sewanee women's program, beginning at 9 a.m. in Sewanee, Tenn.
Women's Recap vs. Centre, 6-3, L
The Millsaps women's tennis squad fought every set but were downed by Centre on Saturday. In doubles, graduate Camille Fremaux and senior Madison Williams barely lost their match, 8-5 on Court Two. Centre claimed all three doubles points for a crucial early lead.
Fremaux stormed past her opponent in a 6-3, 1-6 and 6-3 victory on Court One, while senior Kiana Everhart downed her opposer 7-5, 6-2 on Court Three.
Junior Mackenzie Vordick posted a triumph on Court Five by securing a 6-4 and 6-3 triumph. Classmate Segen Lister gave everything against her rival, but fell in a tiebreaker 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) on Court Six.

On the men's side in doubles, junior Anderson Dulaney and senior Jakub Bobinski played tough on Court Two by downing their opponents 8-7, including a thrilling 7-5 tiebreak.
Sophomores Sam Tuli and Carson Chassaignac put up a hard-fought match on Court One but were unsuccessful and fell, 8-6.
Centre claimed all six points in singles. Chassaignac's competitor barely escaped with a 7-5, 7-6 victory on Court One. Dulaney also pushed his Colonel counterpart by coming up short, 6-2, 7-6.
