CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps men's and women's cross country programs are headed back to the trails for another strong season. Both teams were tabbed to finish sixth by league coaches in the 2024 SAA men's and women's cross country preseason polls, announced by the SAA office on Friday.
On the men's team, Berry College took first place with 32 points and three first-place votes while Centre College clinched second overall with 29 points and two first-place nods.
Rhodes College closed third in the 2024 preseason poll with 28 points and one first-place selector, as the Majors would tally sixth place off 11 points.
On the women's side, Centre College claimed the first spot with 36-points and six first-place tallies, as Berry College held the second spot with 31 points and the remaining first-place vote.
Rhodes College would also finish third in the 2024 preseason poll with 26 points, while the Majors were predicted to finish sixth with 11 points.
The Majors will begin the season at the Mississippi College 5K Opener in Clinton, Miss. on Friday, Sept. 6.
