NEW ORLEANS – The Millsaps College women's cross country program continued their impressive academic streak being named an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday. The Majors secured the honor for the fourth consecutive year.
The women's team set the bar high in the classroom by obtaining an overall 3.66 cumulative team GPA with all six members of the team holding a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.4 following the Fall Semester. The score was highlighted by freshman
Sara Grace Hoggatt (4.0 cumulative GPA), freshman
Molly Northam (3.9) and senior
Kris Arrington (3.67), who especially excelled in the classroom this past fall.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
