JACKSON, Miss. — The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs opened conference action by hosting Rhodes College on Saturday before welcoming in-state foe Rust College to the Coach Montgomery Courts over the weekend.
Millsaps was bested by Rhodes, 7-0 on Saturday, but both teams recovered against Rust College on Sunday. The men defeated Rust, 6-1, while the women battled to a 3-3 tie.

The Majors had a tough start to conference play this past Saturday against Rhodes, where they fell in all of the matches they played.
Most notably, Sam Tuli was almost able to score the Majors success, when he took set number one, and then lost the set-three tiebreaker, 10-7. Additionaly, Jon Nguyen was able to battle with a 7-5 decision in set two before dropping a 10-4 tiebreaker.

The Majors were able to finish their weekend on a really high note when they defeated Rust, 6-1.
The Majors were on the right side of a forfeit on Court 3 doulbe, and Nguyen with his Sam Tuli were able to sweep Court 1.
Then in singles, the Majors made it look easy and were able to take five out of six singles matches. Anderson Causey was perfect, winning his game 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile on their way to victories, Sam Tuli only gave up two games while Nguyen and Bradley Schiaffino only gave up three.

The Majors clashed with Rhodes on Saturday, where they unfortunately fell 7-0 in the match.
Most notably, Skylar Spinks was able to push her singles match in set one to the brink in a 7-5 loss.

The women's tennis team ended their weekend with an interesting matchup against Rust College where the teams tied, 3-3.
Things started with the Majors taking the doubles point, where the Majors won on Courts 1 and 2 (6-2), and got a forfeit on Court 3.
Then in singles, there was no Court 6, Virginia Trible got a forfeit on Court 5, and Bella-Bennett Graham won her match, 6-1, 6-1 on Court 4.
