Men's Tennis Closes Regular Season with Maryville

Majors Commemorate Sam Tuli on Senior Day

JACKSON, Miss. -- The Millsaps College men's tennis team played their season finale on Saturday where they honored senior Sam Tuli on Senior Day against Maryville College.

The Majors were able to grab two points against the Scots with both freshmen Anderson Causey and Jon Nguyen grabbing singles wins on Court One, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2, and Court Three, 6-0, 6-0, respectively. Freshman Cooper Payne and sophomore Sebastian Gonzalez also teamed up for a 6-1 doubles victory on Court Three.

Tuli finished the year with a 9-9 singles record and 8-10 doubles standing. Causey finished 6-2 primarily at No. 1 singles, while Nguyen closed with a 7-10 mark mainly at No. 3 singles.
