Ran a season-best 8K time of 28:24.4 at the Rhodes College Cross Country Invitational in September... Finished a season-best 7th place overall at the Major Invitational in September
Prior to Millsaps: Earned the Rocket of the Year Award... Named to the 7A All-Conference Team... Team won the conference championship twice... Served as President of the Green Team.
Personal: He is also a member of the track & field team at Millsaps... Majoring in Business Administration and Political Science... Named a Dean's Scholar as a Freshman... Active with Phi Kappa Alpha, the Habitat for Humanity and the Disc Golf Club... Elected to serve as a delegate for Hinds County Precinct 6... Volunteered with the Bernie Sanders Presidential Campaign... During the summer of 2020 he embarked on a 31-hour road with three of his best friends to the beautiful mountains of northern California. They lived in humble employee housing and worked at Highlands Ranch Resort for two months. He was able to work almost every position available, including but not limited to: server, host, innkeeper, busser, prep cook, and dishwasher. He worked 40+ hour weeks and received an invaluable amount of customer service experience which was even more critical with COVID-19 due to more stringent health regulations.
