The Hangar Dome plays host to Millsaps Men's and Women's Basketball Team as well as the volleyball team in the winter. Opened in the 50s, the gym holds close to 1,000 fans.
On March 7th and 8th of 2008, The Hangar Dome was host to the NCAA 1st and 2nd Rounds as the Majors competed in front of their home crowd after an incredible 25-3 record and a SCAC Tournament Championship. It was the first time in the gym's history that it hosted an event. The Majors would win both games including a thrilling 57-56 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor to move on to the next round where they made it all the way to the Elite Eight.
The Hangar Dome has hosted the SCAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament in 2009-10 and 2010-11 and the SCAC Volleyball Tournament in 2011. The Dome also hosted the inaugural SAA women's basketball tournament in 2013 and in 2014, the women's basketball and volleyball teams combined to go 27-0 at home.
