Prior to Millsaps: Lettered in track & field for three years ... Cross country for four years ... basketball for three years ... In track & field she received the Most Dedicated Award, the Best Distance Runner Award, North State Qualifier, the District Champion (multiple events), and the Regional Champion ... In cross country she received the Rookie of the Year Award ... Most dedicated award ... Most Valuable Player ... Basketball: She was honored with the Most Coachable Award ... In the classroom she accomplished the athlete's highest GPA award (4.38)... Walker's outstanding success in the classroom led her to become a high school valedictorian, a Middle College honors student at Coahoma Community College ... Associate of General Studies earned before high school graduation … She was a member of the first cohort of the Middle College program ... Athlete with the highest GPA ... Phi Theta Kappa, International Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, and National Honor Society.

Personal: Walker chose Millsaps because it matched her academic goals, athletic ambitions, and the type of community she wanted to be a part of. As a middle college honors student and valedictorian, Walker wanted a school that challenges her academically while supporting her growth.  Millsaps feels like a place where she can succeed, improve, and continue her track and cross country journey in a positive environment.
