2014 Track: Competed in one indoor track meet and six outdoor track meets…..ran a PR in the indoor 5000m in 20:46 ...Ran 2:45 for the indoor 800 at the SAA indoor Track and Field Championships...Ran the mile at the Rhodes Invitational in 5:53…. Had a PR in the 800m at the Rhodes Invitational with a time of 2:41…Helped bring in a 4:53 for the 4x4 at the Rhodes Invitational...Had a PR for the 5k at the Mississippi College Opener with a time of 20:11...Competed in the SAA Track and Field Conference Championships in the 5k and 10k finishing with a 20:47 5k and a 43:49 for the 10k placing 6^th.

2012 XC: Competed in six meets…ran a season best 6k with a time of 26:47 at the Azalea City Classic…ran a season best 5k with a time of 22:27 at the Rhodes Invitational and placed 60^th in the SAA Conference Championships

2012 Track: Named Academic All-Conference...Competed in two Sewanee Tiger Indoor Invitationals running in the mile, the 800m, and the 4000m distance medley...Ran a season best for the 800m indoor with a time of 2:48 and a 6:13 mile season best. For outdoor track competed in six track meets running the 800m, the 1500m, the 5k, the 4x800m relay, and the 4x400m relay.... Posted season bests included running a 2:47 800m at the Southern Miss Invitational, a 5:36 1500m at the Jace Lacoste Invitational, and a 22:06 5k at the Mississippi College Twilight Invitational

2011 XC: Named to SCAC All-Sportsmanship team...Competed in seven meets…Ran a season best 6k with a time of 25:40 at the SCAC Conference Championships placing 43^rd…. Competed in the NCAA III South Regionals placing 124^th with a time of 26:44…Ran season best 5k with a time of 20:54 at the Choctaw Open

High School: 2007 XC All-District Runner-Up... 2009 Outstanding Track Award... 2008 Cross Country MVP... 2009 Cross Country Women’s Bulldog Award...2010 Cross Country Alumni Award... 2011 Track Alumni Award... 2011 Track GPA award...LHSAA all-academic team 2011...Lettered all four years in cross country and three in track (did not run freshmen year track due to stress-fracture)

Personal: Daughter of Kalinka and Shawn Thurber...Has two sisters Alaina and Gabriella, Alaina plays golf at Millsaps...Member of:Catholic Student Association...Volunteer at VA medical center...General lab assistant...Worked with the Millsaps College Annual Fund, ...Majoring in biology with a minor in anthropology

Why I chose Millsaps: I chose Millsaps for three reasons. First, I could continue running for another four years and I loved the xc/track team when I visited! The Millsaps science program is second to none and the next reason why I chose Millsaps! I’m planning on attending medical school in pursuit of becoming a radiologist one day! The close-knit family atmosphere is another reason why I chose Millsaps!
