Jeramey Anderson joined the Millsaps soccer coaching staff as assistant coach on Aug. 18, 2025.
Anderson joins the men's soccer program after spending over a decade at Moss Point High School, where he was both the men's and women's soccer head coach from 2022 to 2024. He helmed the men's squad since 2012 as well.
"I am incredibly honored to join the Millsaps College Men's Soccer program as an assistant coach," Anderson said. "I'm grateful to Coach Gentry and the Millsaps Athletic Department for this opportunity and excited to contribute to the vision and growth of the program. My passion has always been developing student-athletes both on and off the field, and I look forward to working with this talented group of players to help them succeed and reach their full potential. Millsaps has a strong tradition of excellence, and I'm excited to be a part of building on that foundation."
While at Moss Point High School, he helped transform the soccer program into one of the district's top sports by participation. Anderson helped launch the club-level feeder program, where he aided his teams to constantly sustain a 3.0-3.2 team GPA.
Anderson coached four all-district and all-star players, while helping nine student-athletes earn college offers. Outside of coaching, Anderson founded a booster club, raising $20,000-plus annually. In addition, he managed social media, public relations, and community visibility while coaching. Lastly, Anderson supervised six assistant coaches while coordinating with booster and district stakeholders.
Since 2023, Anderson has been a youth soccer coach and administrator for Sound City FC, where he managed youth teams, competitions and player development.
"My coaching philosophy is grounded in unity," Anderson said. "I believe in building a bond between players and coaches' families and the community, and the institution - a bond that serves at the heartbeat of a successful program. I coach to develop not only strong soccer players but world-class young men who lead with character, discipline, and respect."
From 2007 to 2013, Anderson was a semi-professional soccer player for Real United FC. He also played collegiate soccer at Pearl River Community College from 2010 to 2012. A 2010 graduate of Moss Point High School, Anderson was a team captain for the Tigers.
Outside of soccer, he was inducted into the Boys & Girls Club of Jackson County Hall of Fame. Anderson is also the founder of NexiWorks and NexiSPORTS as well as an advocate for youth development and community studies.
Other impressive notes about Anderson include being certified and affiliated with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), CPR/ First Aid Certified, a member of the Mississippi Association of Coaches and commissioner of Sound City FC.
He earned his associate degree in criminal justice studies from Pearl River Community College in 2012 and secured his Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Tulane University in 2016.
