Kayla Kabrich

Kayla Kabrich was named the Millsaps College Assistant Athletic Trainer in late July 2024 prior to the start of the fall seasons. She joins the Millsaps College Sports Medicine Department staff after three stops working within collegiate athletics.

Kabrich spent the 2023-24 season as the Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Texas at Arlington. There she was assigned as the sole trainer with the NCAA Division I baseball program. Kabrich also aided other sports when and where needed. She worked with the coaching and strength and conditioning staff, among several other responsibilities.
 
During the 2022-23 campaign, she was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of North Texas. In Denton, she oversaw the NCAA Division I football and softball programs. Kabrich created and designed innovative rehabilitation plans for student-athletes while administrating concussion software C3 Logic Testing. She also performed hands-on evaluations and accurately diagnosed injuries. 
 
From 2020-22, Kabrich was a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she was responsible for working with that school’s NCAA Division I baseball, cross country and volleyball programs.  
 
In Little Rock she would provide medical care for student-athletes recovering from debilitating injuries that required surgical intervention such as shoulder labrum repairs, ulnar collateral repairs, olecranon arthroscopies, meniscectomies and osteochondral defects. Kabrich also provided contact tracing, referrals and Covid-19 testing among staff and student-athletes. 
 
Kabrich is a National Athletic Trainers’, Southwest Athletic Trainers’ and Texas Athletic Trainers’ Association Member. 
 
She obtained her Master’s of Science in Sports Managment at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2022 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Cincinnati in 2020.
