ATLANTA, GA- The Millsaps Majors and #1 Emory Eagles took to the indoor courts on Sunday with the #1 Eagles holding home court in an 8-1 victory over Millsaps.
The Majors hung with Emory in several matches with the lone Millsaps' victory coming on court #2 in singles where freshman Ashley Ford won a thrilling 10-point tiebreaker. Ford won 6-0, 2-6, 10-8 against the Eagles' Madison Gordon. Deena Li Kam Wa lost a tough 10-point tie breaker, falling in her singles' match to Ashley Satterfield 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.
Ford and Li Kam Wa would also battle at #1 doubles before falling 8-2.
The Majors continue a tough non-conference schedule next weekend when they head to Maryland to take on Salisbury on Saturday. First serve is set for 9AM.
