Millsaps College Athletics

After spending two seasons as the assistant to Lee Johnson, Steve Voltz was named the Millsaps Head Men's Soccer coach in 2013.
 
Voltz led the Majors to their first Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament championship and first NCAA tournament appearance in program history 2015. During that season, Millsaps set a program record for wins with 15.

During the 2016 season, Voltz coached seven of his players to all-conference honors. Including Nico Roth, who was named a first team performer.

Under Voltz, The Majors soccer program has been built from the ground up and they have had sustained success in recent years. Millsaps won the SAA regular season crown in both 2013 and 2014, the 2013 season included an appearance in the SAA tournament championship game.
 
Prior to Millsaps, Voltz was an assistant coach at Tusculum College in Tennessee in 2009 and head coach in 2010. He helped lead the Pioneers to a No. 5 ranking and the 2009 South Atlantic Conference Championship. Voltz also coached three All-Americans during his time at Tusculum.
 
Voltz also has had the opportunity to be a staff coach for the Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama Olympic Development Programs dating back to 2008.
 
In 2008, Voltz became the Head Women's Soccer coach at Huntingdon College in Alabama. He led the Hawks to a Great South Atlantic Conference Tournament appearance.
 
Prior to Huntingdon, Voltz served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II member Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. During his tenure, the team posted a 29-12-2 record and advanced to at least the semifinal round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference tournament each year. They were ranked as high as No. 3 in the NSCAA National Coaching Polls. 
 
Voltz is a native of Offenbach, Germany and graduated from the University of Florida in 1999 with an undergraduate degree in language and literary studies and his Masters in German and literary studies. Voltz was a three-year starter on the men's soccer team and played in three Southeastern Conference tournaments.

Voltz is a certified coach with the NSCAA and the United States Soccer Foundation. He also has earned NSCAA Premier, National, and Advanced National diplomas.
