JACKSON, Miss. -- The Millsaps Women's Basketball (0-2) team lose in game one of the SCAC/SAA Challenge on a buzzer beat by Austin (1-1), 62-60.

In another close, competitive game featuring five ties and five lead changes, the Majors led for most of the night, led by balanced scoring with contributions from each member of the team. The Majors were in control of a tight game until a 21-9 fourth quarter by Austin.

Millsaps Women's Basketball had four different scorers in double digits. Kala-Jewel Freeman led all Majors with 12 points, Braxton Thomas, Kim Klunk and Brazia Jones all chipped in 10 points a piece as well. Braxton Thomas led the Majors on the glass with nine rebounds and Katie Connor led all Majors with her seven assists. The Majors fell to Austin despite winning the turnover battle, shooting better from the fre throw line and matching the Roos' 8 three pointers
