Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- The Millsaps Women's Basketball (1-2) team wins game two of the SCAC/SAA Challenge over Centenary College in a landslide victory, 76-64.
Â
In a game the Majors pretty much controlled from the tip, three quick three pointers in the first quarter set the tone early. Millsaps led Centenary 21-8 after one quarter and 37-19 at the half. In the second half, the Majors only improved, scoring 31 third quarter points and at one point even extending their lead to 37. A late run by Centenary closed the wide gap in scoring margin but was ultimately not enough and the Majors closed out Centenary 76-64.
Â
Millsaps was led by starting center Kim Klunk, who led all scorers and rebounders with 20 points and 12 rebounds for a double double. Brazia Jones and Millicent Butler also joined her in double figures with 12 points and 10 points respectively. Dajia Traylor-Craft led all Majors in assists with six off the bench.
