Box Score SHERMAN, Tx.-- Millsaps Men's Basketball loses on the road to Austin College 66-61.
Facing an early deficit, Millsaps played from behind for the whole night in a game with no lead changes. Overall, the Majors shot a decent 41.1% from the field and 78.6% from the free throw line on 14 attempts. Millsaps did not perform well from three point range this afternoon, shooting only 4-22 from downtown. Millsaps had turnover trouble in this game, only getting 15 assists to 20 turnovers on the afternoon.
Millsaps was led on offense by
Buck Blanz, who scored 15 points on 6-13 shooting from the field to go along with nine rebounds.
Sam Kohnke was Millsaps second leading scorer with 13 points, a majority of them coming from his three 3-pointers on the day to go along with five rebounds for him.
Brennan Gagen rounded out the list of Majors in double figures with 11 points and five assists to go along with three rebounds.
Zachary Tullos, getting the start at Center, also contributed nine points, five rebounds and two blocks. Wade Mason was the leading contributor off the bench, scoring nine points on a perfect 4-4 shooting day from the field to go along with two rebounds. Trent Markwith came off the bench to contribute only two points but four assists and seven rebounds.Â
