Women's Basketball will travel to Sherman, Texas to compete against Austin College on Sunday, December 18 in their last game before a Christmas Break.
This will be the Majors second matchup against Austin this season. Their previous matchup took place in the SCAC/SAA Challenge and Austin came out on top following a game-winner in regulation to win 62-60.
Close from the jump, Millsaps controlled most of the game against Austin until the very last second. There were five ties and five lead changes, including two of each in the last minute.
Millsaps was led in that game against Austin by
Kala-Jewel Freeman with 12 points. Braxton Thomas, Kim Klunk and Brazia Jones all chipped in 10 points a piece as well.Thomas led the Majors on the glass with nine rebounds and Katie Connor led all Majors with her seven assists.
Sporting a three game winning streak, Millsaps is coming into this game off a double digit win over LeTourneau.
Kala-Jewel Freeman was the leader for Millsaps in that victory, notching 26 points and 10 rebounds on 11-18 shooting from the field.
This will be the last game for Millsaps Women's Basketball before a short Christmas Break. Then when they come back they will face off against Belhaven on December 29th at home.
