Kim Klunk lead the way as Millsaps wins in the rematch of the season opener over Belhaven,
The Majors started fast in this one, jumping out to an early lead to take the first quarter 17-13. Then, a dominant defensive second quarter gave the Majors a big halftime lead as they held the Blazers to only eight points in the second period. Sporting a 18 point lead at halftime, the rest of the game was played relatively evenly scoring-wise as the Majors held on to win by double digits.
Millsaps was led in this game by top scorer,
Kala-Jewel Freeman with 20 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks on 7-12 shooting from the field.
Braxton Thomas also had a big scoring night, registering 16 points and six rebounds on 8-16 shooting.
Kim Klunk joined Freeman and Thomas in double digit scoring with 14 to go along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Katie Connor started at point guard and racked up five assists for the team lead in assists.
Brazia Jones came off the bench to give a good all-around effort with five points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Megan Donaldson came off the bench to hit three big three pointers on her way to nine points on 3-6 shooting from downtown.
The Majors will next be in action tomorrow against Covenant at home at 3pm.
