Box Score Sewanee, TN – The Millsaps Men's Basketball Team fell in their first game of the weekend to the Sewanee Tigers by a score of 70-65.
 
Quinn Atkinson led the Majors with 16 points. The Tigers shot 43.3% from the field and were able to take the lead in the second half by outscoring Millsaps 39 to 34 to earn the win. The Tigers now move on to 7-2 in conference play.
 
Aktinson led the Majors in scoring with 16 points by going 6-16 from the field and 2-4 on three pointers. Alex Gerchow finished with ten points by going 4-8 from the field and finished the night with three offensive rebounds and four defensive rebounds as well.
 
In overall shooting totals, the Majors finished 26-57 (45.6%) from the field and 4-9 (44.4%) on three pointers while the Tigers went 26-60 (43.3%) and 10-27 (37%) on three pointers.
 
The Majors will try to rebound with another conference game later this weekend against Centre College on the road. Tip off from Danville, Kentucky is set for 2:00 pm (CST) against the Colonels.
