JACKSON, Miss. -- Millsaps Men's Basketball to take the road in a rematch of last weekend's matchups against Sewanee and Centre. The Majors fell in both meetings in close games. These losses bring Millsaps to 4-14 on the season and 1-6 in the conference, the Majors now sit at eighth in the conference with the schedule turning to the second meeting against each SAA team.
In their matchup against Sewanee,
Sam Kohnke led all Majors with 14 points, seven assists, eight rebounds and two steals on 5-14 shooting from the field with Brenan Gagen and
Robert Gardner joining him in double digits with 12 points and 11 points respectively. Gardner also came off the bench and got three steals.
Against Centre,
Buck Blanz had a huge afternoon, scoring 24 points and dishing out three assists on 11-21 shooting from the field off the bench.
On the season, all of Brennan Gagen, Sam Kohnke, and Buck Blanz are in the top 15 in scoring. Gagen is ninth at 12.8, Kohnke and Blanz are tied for 12th at 10.9 ppg. Sam Kohnke is seventh in the conference in three point makes per game at 2.3 a game and second in steals at 2.3 steals per game.
Robert Gardner is eleventh in the conference in steals. Kohnke and Gagen are tenth and eleventh in the conference in assists at over three per game.
