Millsaps Women's Basketball will travel to Arkansas and Tennessee this weekend to take on the Hendrix College Warriors and the Rhodes College Lynx. The Majors are coming into this game tied for first in overall record in the SAA although they recently lost their first game in conference to Birmingham-Southern.
Last year, Millsaps was 1-1 against Hendrix in conference play, with each team winning in their home building.
Braxton Thomas was the leading scorer amongst returners in games against Hendrix last year at 10.5 ppg.
Last year, Millsaps swept Rhodes in conference play. Thomas put up 10 points per game in both games and both
Kim Klunk and
Kala-Jewel Freeman averaged nine points per game against Rhodes.
Millsaps is coming into this game with the two week reigning SAA Player of the Week,
Kala-Jewel Freeman. Freeman is still third in scoring, third in field goal percentage, seventh in rebounding and seventh in blocked shots per game in the SAA rankings. Freeman is also nearing the 1,000 point mark of her Majors career.
Kim Klunk and Brazia Jones are in the top ten in the SAA in field goal percentage. Klunk recently moved up to top five in rebounding and still is second in blocks per game.
Katie Connor is fifth in the SAA in steals and assists per game.
