Millsaps is entering this weekend's road trip looking to improve upon their eighth place ranking in the SAA standings against tied-for-fifth place Hendrix and Rhodes.
This will be the first matchup between Hendrix and Millsaps this year. Last year, Millsaps dropped both games they faced off against Hendrix. The leading returning performing from those matchups last year was
Trent Markwith at 9 points and 2.5 assists per game.
Last year, Millsaps split both games against Rhodes, with each team winning the game played on their home court.
Brennan Gagen and Markwith both performed well in their victory over Rhodes, combining for 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Millsaps is entering this game with the reigning SAA Player of the Week,
Sam Kohnke. Kohnke averaged 16 points and 4.5 steals per game in the past week, and in his most recent performance for this week on Monday against Birmingham-Southern he put up 29 points, nine rebounds, five threes, four assists, and three steals. On the season, Kohnke is leading the SAA in steals at 2.8 per game. He is also seventh in the conference in three pointers made per game at 2.3.Â
Brennan Gagen still remains in the top ten in scoring in the SAA at 14.1 points per game.
Trent Markwith is seventh in rebounding at 6.5 boards per game.
Trent Markwith is fourth in assists at 4.5 per game and Gagen is ninth at 3.3 apg.
Zachary Tullos is third in the conference in blocks per game at 1.3 per game.
