Box Score  CONWAY, Ar. -- Big nights from
Kala-Jewel Freeman and
Braxton Thomas lead Women's Basketball over Hendrix College on the road.
Millsaps started strong in this game, controlling the first half from early. Freeman, Thomas, and
Megan Donaldson combined for a large majority of the Majors points in the first half, putting up 38 of Millsaps' 43 points.
A tough third quarter saw Hendrix put up a game-high 33 points to Millsaps 16. The Majors then shut down the Warriors down the stretch in the fourth quarter, only allowing seven points and scoring 19.
This win brings the Majors to 1-1 in the conference and 8-5 on the season.
Individually,
Kala-Jewel Freeman put up 27 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
Braxton Thomas followed her up with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Megan Donaldson came off the bench to lead all Majors in three pointers and score 11 points.
Kim Klunk started at center and scored nine points and five rebounds.
Katie Connor scored seven points and tied Thomas for the team-lead in assists with five.Â
Kala-Jewel Freeman reached the 1,000 point mark in her career in this victory.
