Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Women's Basketball wins at Rhodes College in come from behind fashion, 63-61, to improve to 2-1 in SAA Conference Play.

Millsaps started slow in this game, losing the first quarter 16-24, before turning it on in the second quarter and closing the halftime gap to five points. Megan Donaldson had a big first half, hitting four of six threes in rout to 12 points. 

After a slow third quarter, the Majors completed their comeback late in the fourth quarter. Down 61-58 with 1:38 remaining, Braxton Thomas hit two free throws to put Millsaps down by 1. Then on the next possession, Megan Donaldson hit a clutch three pointer to put Millsaps up by two with 51 seconds remaining in the game. A steal by Kala-Jewel Freeman on the next defensive possession and good last second defense in the waning seconds put the game away and Millsaps escaped Memphis with a victory over Rhodes.

A couple of days after reaching the 1,000 point career milestone, Kala-Jewel Freeman had another big afternoon against Rhodes. She scored 15 points on 6-16 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and five steals. Brazia Jones also had a big day on defense, racking up five steals to go along with her eight points. Megan Donaldson had a huge day shooting from behind the three point line, hitting six of ten three pointers to score a game-high 18 points. Katie Connor had a big day distributing the ball, dishing out a season-high and game-high 10 assists with seven points. Kim Blunk and Braxton Thomas had big days cleaning the glass, getting 15 and 10 rebounds respectively to go along with 12 points together. 

Women's Basketball will next be in action at home next weekend against Berry College and Oglethorpe University.
