Box Score BIRMINGHAM, AL. -- Millsaps loses to Birmingham-Southern 73-66 in their final regular season game of the year. With both Millsaps and BSC coming into this game tied for first place, this game decided the SAA Regular Season Champion. With a loss, the Majors now will not host the Conference Championships.

Millsaps now drops to 16-9 for the regular season and 9-5 in conference play for the year. This sits the Majors as the #2 team in the SAA and the second seed in the Conference Championship hosted by BSC next week. 

This game started out extremely close, with the first half tilting in Millsaps favor by only four points. In the third quarter, BSC had a big quarter, scoring 18 and limiting the Majors to only eight points as they took control of the game. They extended the lead to a game-high 12 in the fourth quarter before the Majors made a late push which was ultimately thwarted by a tough call by the refs and free throw shooting by BSC.

Kim Klunk lead all scorers for the Majors with 17 points, 13 rebounds and five steals. Despite foul trouble, Kala-Jewel Freeman still put up 12 points on 3-6 shooting for Millsaps. Megan Donaldson and Braxton Thomas came off the bench to score 11 points a piece and Katie Connor also contributed 10 points in the contest.

Millsaps will next be in action at the SAA Conference Championship tournament hosted at Birmingham-Southern. As the two seed, the Majors will face the seven seeded Centre College in the first round.
