Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- Millsaps Women's Basketball beat Hendrix at home 51-47. This win moves the Majors' record to 14-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
After tonight's victory over Hendrix, the Majors are still tied for 2nd place in the SAA. After a loss by Birmingham-Southern to Rhodes, Millsaps is now one game behind BSC for the conference lead with a game left to play against them.Â
Tonight, the Majors struggled to score, only shooting 1-10 from the field in the first quarter before gaining their footing from the field over the next three quarters. After another slow  quarter the Majors took a 19-16 lead into halftime.Â
In the second half, Millsaps heated up, scoring 32 points to Hendrix's 31 to win 51-47.Â
Individually,
Braxton Thomas led all Majors with 15 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and a block on 7-12 shooting from the field. Kala-Jewel Freeman was the only other Major in double figures scoring, logging 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
Megan Donaldson came off the bench and hit three 3-pointers.
Millsaps will next be in action on Sunday against Rhodes.Â
