JACKSON, Miss. -- After opening up the season with a win at home against Belhaven, and picking up a pair of victories in the SAA/SCAC Challenge, the Millsaps College men's basketball team returns to the Hangar Dome to close out the holiday weekend with two non-conference games. 

Millsaps will host Howard Payne University at 5:00pm tomorrow, and will wrap up the weekend with a a game against the University of Dallas at 5:00pm on Sunday. 

Last Week
With their wins last week the Majors are off to a 3-0 start this season. That marks the best start to a year since the 2010-11 season. Defense has been a big part of the Majors' early season success. Millsaps is holding their opponents to 36.8 % shooting from the field and just 25.8% from three-point territory. The Majors also have been a force on the glass so far as they lead the SAA with a 13.7 rebound margin. 

Tomorrow: 5:00pm vs Howard Payne University (0-3, 0-0 ASC)
The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets make the trip to Jackson to take part in the tournament Millsaps is hosting this week. HPU is off to a rocky start so far this year as they have dropped all three of their games.

The Majors and Yellow Jackets do share one common opponent so far. HPU lost to Austin College 101-95 to open the year, while Millsaps knocked off Austin 96-74 in the first game of last week's SAA/SCAC Challenge. 

Shadd Cole leads Howard Payne in scoring at 16.7 points per game.

Sunday: 5:00pm vs University of Dallas (0-2, 0-0 SCAC)
Dallas has not fared much better this year as they currently sit at 0-2. They will take on the Mississippi University for Women on Saturday before squaring off with the Majors Sunday evening. 

Joshua Nunn leads the Crusaders averaging 13 points per game. He is also the team's leading assist man with 8 so far this season.
