JACKSON, Miss. – The Southern Athletic Association released their all-conference awards for the 2017-2018 basketball season on Friday morning, and Millsaps College junior Michael Sullivan was honored as a First Team All-SAA selection.

Sullivan is the first Major to appear on an all-conference first team since Edrick Montgomery was named First Team All-SCAC in 2007-2008.

Sullivan has started 24 of the 25 games for Millsaps this season, and has been the unquestioned leader on the floor for the Majors all season long. His 15.2 points-per-game average is best on the team, and eighth best in the league. In conference games only, he is averaging 17.1 points which ranks fourth best in the SAA. Also his 47.3% from behind the three-point line in league play ranks fourth best in the conference.

Back on January 14^th Sullivan torched Hendrix College for a career high 41 points. His ten three-pointers are both a SAA and Millsaps College record. That effort earned him SAA Player of the Week honors on January 15^th.  

Sullivan and the rest of the Majors get their conference tournament run underway this evening. Millsaps is the #6 seed and they face #3 seed Oglethorpe. Tip-off from Alumini Gymnasium on the campus of Centre College is set for 7:00pm CST.
